We are all equal insofar as we own our mind and body. To deny self-ownership is to say that someone else holds a higher claim on our body than ourselves. An early classical liberal thinker by the name of John Stuart Mill once said, "Over himself, over his own mind and body, the individual is sovereign." The initiation of force against the individual is never justified. Human peace and prosperity is achieved only through the voluntary cooperation of free individuals, not through the threats or initiation of force. The works of Frederic Bastiat, Henry Hazlitt, John Stuart Mill, Murray Rothbard and Ludwig von Mises have been incredibly influential in the molding of my philosophy. I welcome any questions regarding the philosophy of liberty and individual autonomy. I hope you enjoy my blog and find it insightful and educational.
